Privacy policy
The short version: we only collect what we need to help you, we don’t sell it, we don’t use it for advertising, and we never store your passwords.
Last updated: November 5, 2026
This policy explains how Young Technology (“we”, “us”) handles information on youngtechnology.net, our client portal, our e-signature pages and our IT help desk. Questions? Email [email protected].
What we collect
When you contact us
Your name and email, plus anything else you choose to give us, such as your phone number, company and message. We use this to reply and to prepare a quote.
When you’re a client
- Account details: your company, the people we work with there and their contact details.
- Work records: support requests, print orders, quotes, proofs (with your comments on them), agreements, invoices and payment status.
- Files you send us: artwork and other files you upload, and proofs we create for you.
- IT documentation: notes about your systems that we need to support you. We do not store passwords; our records only note where a password is kept.
When you sign in or sign an agreement
To keep accounts secure we record sign-ins and sign-in attempts, including the time and the IP address used. When you sign an agreement online we record your typed name, the time and the IP address and browser used, so the agreement has a reliable signature record.
When you browse the site
We use privacy-friendly analytics that count page visits without cookies and without tracking you across other websites. Our contact form and sign-in page use an automatic check to block spam and bots. Like any website, our hosting provider also processes standard technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.
Cookies
The public website doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies. When you sign in to the client portal we set one cookie that keeps you signed in. It can’t be read by scripts or other sites, and it ends when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.
How we use information
- To answer questions, prepare quotes and provide the IT, consulting, print and design services you ask for
- To send service emails, such as sign-in links, proofs ready for review, prices, invoices and updates on your requests
- To bill you and keep business and tax records
- To keep our systems, and yours, secure and to prevent fraud and abuse
We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with the service providers we use to run our business, and only as needed for them to do their job:
- Hosting and security providers: run our website, the client portal and our records.
- Email and sign-in provider: sends our emails and handles help desk sign-in.
- Invoicing and payment processor: sends invoices and takes card payments. Card details go straight to their secure payment page; we never see or store your full card number.
- Backup storage: keeps encrypted copies of our records.
- Print production and shipping partners: receive the artwork, order details and shipping address needed to produce and deliver a print order.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
How we protect it
- All connections use encryption (HTTPS).
- Client portal sign-in uses one-time links and codes that expire after 15 minutes. We store only scrambled (hashed) copies of those codes.
- Each client can only see their own company’s information.
- Staff access to our systems requires secure sign-in.
- Backups are encrypted and stored off-site.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your information seriously, and we’ll tell you promptly if a problem affects your data.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we’re working together and afterwards for as long as needed for business, tax and legal records. Deleted files are kept for 30 days in case of mistakes, then permanently removed. Inquiries that don’t lead to work are deleted when they’re no longer needed.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you, by writing to [email protected]. Some records, such as invoices and signed agreements, may need to be kept for legal reasons. We’ll explain if that’s the case.
Children
Our services are for adults and businesses. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be shared with clients by email.
